Here's how I mounted the resistors. I didn't know that they get hot. I'll have to pop a taillight off the next time I run them for awhile and check the temp.

I stuck them on the flat metal piece under the truck just below where the wires exit the tail light hole on my 2014. I did basically the same thing on my 2007 and they were on there for 5 or 6 years still working perfectly the day I sold it. I also agree that they should be moved off the taillight assembly before they ruin something. Did you ever think that if they were meant to be inside the housing that the manufacturer would have put them there instead of putting those long wires on them? Not trying to be an a$$hole here...only trying to save you trouble down the road.

You make an excellent point - I'm going to go and mount them outside the taillight cavity right now -

taillight failure could be a huge inconvenience depending on when and where it happened.

They appear to be ten bucks cheaper on ebay. These are good quality.

Has anyone bought a pair of lights from there? Are they plug and play?

The automotive accessory world hath decided that the 2014 Sierra shall not recieve any custom lighting for the forseeable future. It is not in our destiny to improve upon the beauty that is the 2014 GMC Sierra.

Really, no news on the LEDs for the Sierra? This is some BS!

I thought Recon's release date is in June?

I emailed them about the Sierra a week ago and this is what I got:

Brian,

We are working on all the lights currently and they should be available sometime this summer! Stay tuned as they are going to be incredible!

Best regards,
