Does anyone know if any company is working on an LED replacement 3rd row brake light?

I hope so! Hopefully a red lens one because the smoke and clear ones are ugly... I'd get the tails in red if there was a 3rd break light to match

Recon released a preview of their 2014 Silverado Headlights on Instagram. I'd imagine the release of the headlights/tailights is very soon.

The ones on protuning show an LED replacement backup bulb if you scroll a little further down. It says "Cool white 5500K, fits in original socket." Anyone try these yet?

so I received my new smoked taillights last night.

the fit and finish are great. they look awesome.

They are just a touch brighter than the stock bulbs, but the difference is negligible.

I saw from another member that they come with a red 194 bulb as a corner marker light, so I ordered a red LED 194 bulb for them already (unfortunately they weren't here yet, but should be today)

I already bought the 7 watt reverse bulbs, so I was able to re-use them.

I also took my 3rd brake light off and tinted the red on it to match better.

I taped off the clear portion so my cab light would still be bright (I also used the 7 watt LED for those)

I will get some pictures today and put them up.

You could even put an LED bulb in the OEM housing. I may do that so I can keep my LED cargo bulbs I bought. They are brighter than stock and match the LEDs that GM used in the Sierras. From the DRLs to the domes. I feel that any aftermarket brake light company will make the white lights on either side of the 3rd brake light more of a xenon white with a blue hue to it

I emailed Recon some questions about any new LED products for the new Sierra. Ill copy and paste Recons reply below. ......

"The 2014 taillights will be available towards the latter part of this summer. They are absolutely incredible. To the best of my knowledge we will not be making a factory replacement LED fog light. You can currently put HIDs in your stock setup! We will also have the 3rd brake light and projector headlights available soon as well.

GET LIT!!!"

If you don't mind me asking, how do you hook up the resistor worse to the stock wiring harness? I noticed there were 2 green wires and maybe 2 black wires. Any feedback on the required steps to take would be great.
