Aftermarket LED Taillights

I am liking the smoke ones for my Stealth Grey SLE. I noticed on the back there were no wires coming out of where the back-up lights are. Do these have no back-up lights or do the original ones plug into the LED housing? Also- the 2 square things- are they the ballasts? Why aren't they attached? Do I have to mount them somewhere?

They use the factory reverse lamps.

I really want red smoked ones. I emailed them and they don't have them yet..[emoji37]

 

Debating on the red, but wanting to replace 3rd brake light at the same time. .

That is disappointing. Thought they would have higher output LED's there. Aren't there some LED replacement bulbs for the back up lights? Are they just plug-n-play?

Do the Denalis come with different tail lights than the SLEs? I saw a Denali this morning driving to work that I swear had LED taillights. I so wanted to chase him down to talk about them, but I was late to work.

The 2014 Denali's do not come with LED tail lights as standard equipment.

Ebay is your friend

.There are a couple sellers on ebay that have LED taillights available for the 2014 / 2015 Sierra 1500 trucks (all currently in Cali)

just ebay search "2014 1500 sierra LED taillights"

not too shabby at $270 for the pair. I figured they would be more.

I picked up a set of smoked for my silver sierra. I can post up some pics once I receive them if anyone wants to wait to see how they fit.

Are the taillight leds servicable? Or am I buying new tailights if an led goes out in one of them? Judging by the pics I would say no but if someone has a set maybe they can chime in.

 

In Canada its about 340 shipped so some good info to know.

Really like these and actually ordered them too, then cancelled with the merchant as I learned from them that there is no matching 3rd brake/cargo light available from Revotec or Eagle Eyes.

 

Waiting to see what recon does. Especially the headlights. I do like these though:

I'd say they are a little brighter. I never did a side by side comparison at night just in the garage as I was installing them. Pics of that are pretty bad since the sun was pouring in, and the truck was full of recycling.

 

I knew the backup reused the factory bulb. Only disappointing thing so far is that the side marker light isn't LED. The do at least include a red 194 bulb for it. I have LEDs on the way for those.
