If you don't mind me asking, how do you hook up the resistor worse to the stock wiring harness? I noticed there were 2 green wires and maybe 2 black wires. Any feedback on the required steps to take would be great.

I sent you a response to your PM but I'll post here in case anyone else is confused with the Eagle Eyes.

 

They put white circle stickers over the connector locations to keep out dust. Pull those white stickers off and use the factory harness, easy to figure out once the stickers are gone.

I installed a set of factory style led taillights on my silverado, got them from ebay about a month ago. Now my signals flashes rapidly for some reason. Anybody have a solution?

Wouldn't he actually need a resistor?

 

The hyper blink is caused when the computer senses that the power being used is abnormally low compared to what it should be to light up the stock halogen bulbs. Resistors are needed with LEDs in places such as brake lights (not always, but in this case, yes) and turn signals (always need a resistor if swapping a turn signal for an LED)

 

The resistor tricks the computer by leveling out the power draw to a 'normal' level

Maybe the resistors somehow when bad already.

dumb question, but you don't have a turn signal out in the front do you?

Already checked, works just fine. I swapped the stock taillights till I figure out what's the problem with the resistors.

The stockers are not blinking rapidly, correct?

Anyone heard of any updates on the Recon tails for the 14 Sierra's yet? I really want to look at a pair of smoked recon tails.

I've given up on Recon. Called 3 times this summer and got the same generic teleprompter BS response of late summer, blah, blah, they're amazing, be patient, coming soon, blah, blah.....

so I received my new smoked taillights last night.

the fit and finish are great. they look awesome.

They are just a touch brighter than the stock bulbs, but the difference is negligible.

I saw from another member that they come with a red 194 bulb as a corner marker light, so I ordered a red LED 194 bulb for them already (unfortunately they weren't here yet, but should be today)

I already bought the 7 watt reverse bulbs, so I was able to re-use them.

I also took my 3rd brake light off and tinted the red on it to match better.

I taped off the clear portion so my cab light would still be bright (I also used the 7 watt LED for those)

I will get some pictures today and put them up.

May i ask which 7 watt led you use? i am looking for a bright reverse LED

actually I think they are 10 watts. They are the samsung 2323 bulbs

      Because single shot injectors are ancient and multi hole injectors provide smoother running engines and sharper throttle response due to the fuel being atomized better..the best lead I have is a 24lb blue top injector almost everything matches up but the injector will put out about 26lb/hr which is just outside the gm threshold.figured id ask here to see if there was an absolute answer

      Why is my question?   Any change in injectors requires a tune. Unless you are going back with the OEM part number or a newer part number of that same injector.   Any size difference or type difference like the EV6 style injectors all have different injector data for them. And there is no EV6 injector that matches the factory 25 lb/hr size that your truck comes with. I've been messing with these trucks and tuning them for a long time and what you trying to do doesn't exactly make sense to me.

      My 6.6 gas lt8 had lifter noise with 28000 miles bought new 2026 and while driven to dealer it threw #1 rod bearing “HD my ass” good luck with yours i hope it don’t turn a rod bearing!

      Thought it was raining this morning when we woke. Nope. Dew point was over 80 F and humidity 98%. Zero visibility distance. Everything was 'sweating'. I've seen rain come out of clouds but never out of Pepper or the tree trunks.    Wicked storms just missed us sliding off to the east but by blocks. Heat index about 110 F with air temp in the 90's.    This is  our third wave this month of multiple days of this type of weather. And yet the grass is going dormant and the ground is cracking this side of the street and water up the the hood opposite. Just weird stuff going on.
