Aftermarket LED Taillights

Nice! I knew he'd accept it, it's only fair haha. I also have a 3rd brake light I have coming and I'm looking at replacing the bulb with a VLED Red bulb just so the light shines a little brighter through the tint, or so that's the theory lol. I hope you get your lights soon man and glad he accepted the offer!

Very nice. Looking forward to seeing pics of your setup!

Ok. So I have a Recon update. Just contacted them for the 3rd time on the lights for our trucks. I've been getting the same regurgitated response since before summer, and it waaaay past the reported release time frame they have been feeding me. Here is what I sent and they're response:

What is the deal? This is the 3rd time I have emailed your company about this. All I get back is some run of the mill, generic response. Twice I was told these lights would be out near the end of the summer and it is now entering October with nothing released on the market yet. What gives? The entire GMC sierra community as well as myself would like a straight forward answer. The 2015 trucks are pushing out and yet there STILL are no aftermarket lights for the NNBS Sierra. Has Recon given up R&D on these trucks or what? It's getting a bit ridiculous.

Thank you for contacting RECON. We appreciate the zeal and passion you display in wanting the best set of aftermarket headlights money can buy! We are working very hard on developing and perfecting the new 2014 Sierra headlight, as well as the taillights and 3rd brake light. Unfortunately, the days of just molding a headlight and putting a plug on the back of it are over. The new trucks are very sophisticated and technologically advanced, and require more fine tuning than in previous years. I do not have an official ETA at the moment, but rest assured we are hopefully going to have them ready to ship in the 4th quarter. Again, thanks for your interest and continued support of RECON Truck, the leader in the aftermarket lighting industry!

I got tired of waiting on RECON, so I just went ahead with the other ones that are already out. Also, IMO, if the Sierra lights look anything like the Silverado lights and the price tags match, I would definitely rather not buy the RECON. Just my $0.02

We're talking led head lights though. Not just tail lights. The headlights are supposed to be similar to the SLT with the LED DRL. I havent seen any aftermarket headlights for the 2014 sierra. Have you?

No, I have not seen any aftermarket headlights for the Sierras yet, however, I would think that they wouldve put their taillights out if they were ready. I understand the headlights will take a while.

Installed the LED factory look alikes. Looks great and makes the truck look much better. I'm still surprised that these trucks didn't come from the factory with LED tail lamps. Especially the $50K models.

Looks great Mike! LED tails change the appearance a lot. My 3rd brake light arrived yesterday and I installed it but the tail lights will be arriving tomorrow afternoon. I got a picture of them though, and they look great in my opinion. I'll post up some installed pics!

Looks great Mike! LED tails change the appearance a lot. My 3rd brake light arrived yesterday and I installed it but the tail lights will be arriving tomorrow afternoon. I got a picture of them though, and they look great in my opinion. I'll post up some installed pics!

I saw a 2014 stopped at a light today. His brake lights were on, and they were so dark it was crazy.

They've done a few different setups for the 14+ Sierra and Silverado. Looks great IMO.

You can buy new lights from him, send lights in, and sell your stock lights for a discount. Good guy, good communication and fast shipping. Excellent painting job on the lights as well, they are super shiny like wet paint.

So it sucks when USPS says your package will come on Thursday, then Thursday rolls around and they say it'll actually be here Friday. Ruined my day lol but I finally got them and installed them. I love them! I'll let the pictures do the talking. Any questions feel free to ask me.
