Retractable Bed Tiedown Anchors

I was poking around looking for some folding tiedown anchors and found these.

I ordered a full set of 9 (4 sets + 1 free). I like the idea a lot. The factory 2014 fixed position tiedowns are a big improvement over not having any tiedowns, but I can see one of them grinding a hole in something on a trip across the country or on the dirt roads. More stuff to spend money on...

I have two of these. Got them to try and I'm actually going to get 4 more today. I don't think you can put quite the load on them of the factory ones, but you can leave them in place without them getting in the way so much better.

I use 'em too! Used the kind that fit on the top rail in my 2011 Silverado. Good Texas folks to work with too! LOL

What's the weight limit on these? OE's are 250lbs

1,000 lbs. Way more than what the truck sidewalls can handle which is only 500.

Wow not bad. There might be some OE tie-downs for sale soon

The OE limit is 250 because of the sides. It would be nice if there was a way to get a larger plate up behind there to increase the load limit.

I think it's wide open behind the inner wall of the bed. I installed some power sockets in the bed of my 08 and just reached up in there.
