Air conditioning issues after hard acceleration

So during the first hot days driving my 2014 z71, it seems the air conditioning stops working and takes a few minutes to recover after a hard acceleration. Anybody else? I don't recall driving any other late model vehicles that had this issue. I like air conditioning very cold and am not very happy about discovering this issue with a brand new truck.

Mostly every vehicle I have owned; if I go wide open throttle, the AC compressor automatically shuts off. It takes a few seconds for the compressor to kick back on and for the cool air to hit your face.

Sure, I guess a few seconds I do remember noticing ocassionally, hardly noticable. But I'm talking 3 to 5 minutes. The first time I noticed it, it was after a pretty much wot acceleration to 50 mph and it took over 5 minutes to recover. Yesterday when it happened, I was passing on the highway not quite wot and it still took several minutes to come back.

when you go wot the a/c compressor clutch disengages thus turning off the compressor. This is on almost every single vehicle, it is to reduce the drag on the engine and give you the most performance out of your engine. depending on how hot it is outside when your driving it might seem like it took 5 min long but I can almost guarantee you it only took about 1 min to recover fully inside the cabin. after going wot the compressor takes only a few seconds to re-engage. If it really is taking 5 min for the compressor to come back on then take it to dealer.

I got wot on my work vehicle fairly often and when it is hot / humid outside it takes a while for the cabin of the vehicle to cool back off.

Yep my truck and several other vehicles I have owned has done this. I think my cruze was worst. Doesn't take long for the cold air to come back and this is in south Texas 90-100 degree heat
