What did you do for a exhaust tips?

I did RTP Black Tips on mine. I had to shorten the factory exhaust just a few inches to get the right look. I love the way it looks.

Mine is whatever came stock on my Z71 4x4. I don't know or care. Just leave it as it is. I am not going to spend money friviously on something so insignificant.

Yea, Borla Black Chrome. I was surprised when the dealer showed me the truck with the exhaust installed... I expected the traditional chrome tips but they thought it would look better with black... I think they got this one right! Looks good, sounds great!

 

Only thing I don't like is that they are clamp on tips and the dealer tack welded them so they would come off so easy... I think I am going to go to a muffler shop and have them welded on and the clamps taken off.

I want these! If they just clamp on the factory exhaust and are Borla, anyone have a part number?

Just finished it yesterday. Moved the flapper, resonator, and installed a 3.5 x dual 2.5 Y all where the old muffler was (in that order starting w/ the flapper at the flex coupling). Two 2.5" tubes up and over the axle, ending in what you see here.

Thx dude. I wasn't sure about the square tips, but I like them more each time I see them. I've always had round before, but this truck seemed entirely too "blocky" for round tips.

eBay brand. Camaro style, 2x8". Lots of places to get.

I might look at the monster hook hex tips. They look pretty cool and can guarantee no one else would have them. Ill check em out at SEMA in a couple weeks

The Borla tips, won't fit the factory exhaust. I had the OEM single polished tip, but since have put on the GM Borla Exhaust system. The OEM exhaust pipe I think is 2 3/4" diameter, where the Borla exhaust pipe is 2 1/4".

 

I was kinda bummed about that as I was hoping to be able to just buy a second OEM tip when I had the Borla system installed, instead, I did have to buy 2 Borla tips. Mine are the polished chrome, rather then the "Black" chrome.
