What did you do for a exhaust tips?

The Borla tips, won't fit the factory exhaust. I had the OEM single polished tip, but since have put on the GM Borla Exhaust system. The OEM exhaust pipe I think is 2 3/4" diameter, where the Borla exhaust pipe is 2 1/4".

I was kinda bummed about that as I was hoping to be able to just buy a second OEM tip when I had the Borla system installed, instead, I did have to buy 2 Borla tips. Mine are the polished chrome, rather then the "Black" chrome.

Here's a pic of the Borla and the OEM Tip.

I LIKE THE FIRST SET OF TIPS, THEY KINDA REMIND ME OF THE DUAL REAR SIDE EXIT TIPS THAT CLASSIC 70S TRUCKS USED TO HAVE INSTALLED ON THEM. SOMETHING ID DEFINITLEY LIKE TO DO TO MINE.

5" tip axle dumped

Always been a fan of the dump, did it on my 13 sierra, looking to do it on my 14. Do you have the stock exhaust other than the tip? I am assuming you cut the resonator off, any negatives to this setup you might have noticed so far? Thanks in advance!

I cut from the muffler back off and welding in a Spintech 9000. and had a small section of piping made for the axle dump. Truck sounds very good. Only negatives I can think of is the drone when it kicks into V4 mode.

Thanks, yeah I am just planning on keeping the stock muffler and cutting off the resonator and doing the dump, just like the clean look of nothing hanging under the rear end.

For those of you that have stock exhaust tubing, for the tip (clamp on), did you order 3" inlet? I'm going to pull the trigger today for cyber Monday deals. Thanks!

I would love get this in my truck but not sure if it's screw on style or clamp or welded would be better ? I hope its not the one with three screws cuz I don't like the look on it

It has the clamp with nut and bolt. No screws ala JC Whitney.

I have that one on my Sierra. It is very good quality, and looks new after being installed since last fall.

I had the local muffler shop chop off my 5" chrome Magnaflow tip and fab me up a 4" Plain Jane.
