I know it is an 07...but i needed a new exhaust after 8 years. I did not want to pay for tips again (old stainless rolled edge ones i had never really matched) and shop just finished putting a new exhaust on a charger and had the stainless tips left over...so I had them put charger tips on a GM truck..

weather has been nasty so very dirty.

The 2014 just has the long double walled rolled edge GMC bolt on

I did RTP Black Tips on mine. I had to shorten the factory exhaust just a few inches to get the right look. I love the way it looks.

Looks great. I have a 6.2 as well, did that 3" inlet match right up the factory exhaust. Did you weld it on? I've been looking for a black tip like that or corsa style with the chrome and black

I had to have the factory tailpipe shortened to get it to sit just right. Since then I changed my exhaust so I actually have that setup for sale from the end of the muffler to tip if interested. All you have to do is cut your factory pipe at the valve and weld up my tailpipe with black tip.

Yea I'm interested. Sent you a pm. What did you do for your new setup

This may be a stupid question, but I am going to ask it anyway. I have a borla muffler on mine, can barely hear it. I am a big fan of the over axel dump mod, so I am going to cut the resonator off and add a tip. The 2 tips I am looking at are the GMC one (2.75" inlet - 3.5" outlet, double walled 12" long) and Go Rhino (2.75" inlet 4" outlet - 10" long). The Go Rhino tip is significantly cheaper however my main question lies with sound. Is there going to be much of a difference with a 4" single wall thats 2" shorter overall than the GMC tip that's doublewalled? Looking to keep it tame and crisp. Thanks in advance!

^^^^My Opinion, from first hand experience - Before you do anything else, get an AiRaid MIT Intake Tube. I have a custom made 24" glass and steel packed muffler on my 2011 4.8. The sound (exhaust sound) really didn't change a lot until I put an MIT Tube on it. The stock intake tube is so convoluted and restrictive it actually affects how the exhaust sounds.

As far as a resonator, my stock system never had one.

Lou... I have often wondered about this. I've asked the question in several threads, "Does a CAI or MIT make any difference in the exhaust sound or make it louder".

In every case I have gotten the same answer... "Not really."

But if you're saying it will change the exhaust note and make it better, I'd be all in for $149 to try it out, plus gain a few extra HP's.

If you're just going to dump the exhaust, why waste the money on tips?! I dumped my Magnaflow before the axle on my Avalanche. Wasn't visible, so didn't see the use.

Are those 22s and I like those tires nice

Went with 4" rolled edge over the axle dump. Wanted to clean up the rear exit.
