I'm running 305/45/22 on my 2wd with no rubbing and plenty of clearance. I think with a 305/55/20 and a leveling kit you would be fine. I saw a 07 with the same 2in front leveling and 305/55/2 and it looked good. Thats the old body and these new ones have more clearance.

Either 295 or 305 will work. When you get this wide, you have to pay attention to each brand's specifications on actual width and diameter and wheel width and offset. It all gets more critical as clearance gets closer to zero.

My particular tires are 305/60-18 Cooper ST Maxx. They are 32.6 dia x 12.1 section width. I'm running them on stock 8.5" wide wheels with a 5 1/2" backspace. They are close, but do not rub at all, even in turns with bumps. I don't think there's room for any change in dimensions without getting some rubbing.

The comments above relate to no lift/level of the front. I have since raised the front 1 1/2". I see very little difference in the clearances from lifting it. Maybe another inch would give it more clearance setting still. But when you hit a bump in a sharp turn the suspension it would seem to me that the tire would be up in the well and you have the same issue.

I don't have any good pics yet but this is mine with 295/60R20 Nitto Trail Grapplers. The second pic has my fender trim pieces taken off because I was getting them painted. Pics do not do it justice at all. Everyone that has seen it in pics then in person has freaked out over how much better looking it is in person. I will try to get better pics when I get back in town.

I went with Goodyear Durac 305/60/R20 on my stock rims, I have the ProCom 2.25 leveling kit. The ground isn't level, when I measure it I have 3/4 of a inch higher in the rear with an empty box.. Think I need a cleaner photo

I have only rubbed once, it was on the inner liner towards the rear of the fender. If i have to cut it there is no metal behind it

Here are some I just posted the other day, I have a 2 1/2 full rough country kit. I have 295/55/20 Toyo AT2 xtreme tires kon the all terrain rims for the denali and it rubs by like a 1/4 inch on the sway bar at full lock. The 305's will fit but they will rub going by my account without question.
