Recently got to spend a week behind the wheel of Chevy's 2015 bi-fuel CNG 2500HD 4x4 for an in-depth road test and wanted to hear if owners of the same truck share my thoughts. I was a little disappointed GM's engineering team wasn't able to bring CNG performance (power/mpg) up to match that of gasoline when CNG has BTU almost the same as diesel.

Ford's bi-fuel CNG/gas pickups don't lose either power or mpg in the switch from one fuel to the other. One would think GM could do the same, right?

I was also surprised to find the 17-gallon CNG tank would only provide about 12-13 gallons of useable CNG before switching back to gasoline. 2015-Chevy-2500CNG_BS28766.jpg
