i am confused is there a app or a way to get the navigation from your iphone onto your 8 in screen ,and how ?? thanks

if you have the navigation option

and you're willing to pay onstar a stupid amount of $$$ for the privilege

no you cannot get the navigation from you iphone on your 8" screen. You might be confusing it with Apple's upcoming "CarPlay" system that will be available in several manufacturers in upcoming years.

He is talking about the Nav on the Onstar app and you can put your destination on the map on the phone and sent to the nav in the truck. I did it a couple times and as soon as you turn the truck on the nav pops up with the destination already loaded.

no i just wanted what showed on my google maps to show up on my truck radio ,nothing to do with onstar thanks

There is a company called MVI http://gm-navigation.com/ that has a mod kit for the factory head unit that allows you to add a smart phone interface and they are doing the nav/video in motion unlock. This would allow you to use Google maps or any smart phone based nav app on your factory screen.
