Wow well that's a disappointment. There goes any hope of OnStar working in remote places. The coverage of AT&T in the northeast is a joke.

Down here in S TX and Central TX AT&T is the best in coverage. Only att works in our Mason county pastures. Same south in the bird hunting areas. Get out of the metros down here and others suffer, att ok. My OnStar drops just outside of San Antonio.

That's not too surprising since I think ATT is based in Texas. But looking at maps, most of the carriers have horrible coverage in the southwest. I'd much rather have seen them stick with Verizon. Guess if I get a new Chevy next year I'll have to keep an eye on that status light to see how often ATT coverage fails.
