Got it out today. Man the blue really stands out

Took it and played some baseball this evening. Didn’t realize the Y had kids tee ball so the lot went from empty to full. While watching people park and walk by the car at least 80% of the people turned or walked over by it. Leaving had a guy run up to chat with me too. Not sure I can take al this attention

The bigger trunk is nice

Door shox. Got them just so my wife can take it to her work. Although she ended up having a lifted Jeep park by her before she left and she said if he was careless we would have had a dent on the roof.

Wait, did you say the trunk is bigger(than the 5th)? I took it to Costco and had to put some plastic shelves in the back seat. Barely got everything in and it was a light load.

Now I'm trying to decide what cloth I will ruin cleaning the wheels. I bought $150 of stuff from Auto geek during April fool's day and got their free "limited edition and quantity" bonus. It was a tote, 4 super plush MF towels, 2 MF wash mitts, a MF cover wash sponge  with bug scrubber. Like $40-50 bucks of stuff I think

My trunk on my old car was super small due to it being a convertible

Oooh yeah. I have never actually been in a 5th. It was one of those "I'll probably buy it" situations. Like every time I have test driven a a new car. :uhoh: except for the 2016 Mazda6, which I was going to buy until I drove the J35 Accord.

Maybe because it's yellow, but this Camaro is attracting bugs. I can drive the Accord a hundred miles and barely hit a bug, but if I drive the Camaro 10 I'll be cleaning 4 off when I get home.

Been a bit since I have been around. Bought a new toy a few months ago. Cleaned it up while we had some nice weather.

Cool, nice choice. FCA is really killing it on the overpowered SUVs. It's time for a new SRT Ram.

Gave mine a bath today after a drive, very nice weather. Think I'm going to put Crystal Seal on the wheels. Wondering if I should just order a blade spoiler already, but feels too new to start taking stuff off that still works. Crossed 1100 miles already.

Too nice to keep her hidden away today...

Finished the hot wheels. It's decent. Having problems getting the black paint to not smear or spread on the yellow. The grille and decklid is so miniscule I have respect for the hobbists that can do that tiny paintwork. Think I'm just using a sharpie on the next one instead of black paint.

Finished one for the kids.

The black paint wanted to go everywhere but where I wanted it. But you can't really sand the upper grille on a hot wheels. I then used a sharpie but when I sprayed it with clear the sharpie started to run. I didn't want to start all over so here it is. Blacked out the decklid and tailights too!

    • Because that is IDIOTIC, much like this question. They've already been forced to do it by past administrations - why would you roll that back when it's a GOOD thing?  WHO IS ARGUING FOR LOWER MILEAGE???? 😂  NOBODY IS!!   I'm certainly not! What I want is RELIABLE vehicles again that are worth the price paid!    I don't get your logic here ...   In 2003 I paid $2,200 for our '86 Grand Marquis. It's STILL running and I've never been inside the engine, aside for the timing cover since it was leaking, so I threw a new timing set in since that makes sense. Transmission is ORIGINAL. Electric pump in the gas tank is ORIGINAL. Rear end is ORIGINAL. I'd have to hit my head REAL hard to want to pay $60k or more for a car that still can't come close to the comfort, seating and storage space, or reliability of this one. Nothing is even in the ball park! Hundreds of thousands of brands and models have been built and sent to the crusher while this one keeps on going!   https://postimg.cc/Z9XRrCSg   I've got a whole fleet of cars, motorcycles, and a truck close to this age for summer and winter. No one could pay me enough to buy anything built this century. I have zero use for any it.
    • Since I'm the one who has to fix them when they break, I'll take vehicles over 30 years old all day, EVERY day, over ANY modern crap. Have you attempted any repairs on anything built after 2006? It's a friggin nightmare, and gets worse the newer the model year.    If I had the will or desire, I can make any car of any age outside of a Model T (I don't have THAT much will ...) just as powerful, comfortable, and have all the tech the new stuff does, and get pretty close in mileage, too. I prefer SIMPLICITY. The less the vehicle has, the less to fix WHEN it breaks, not IF.   I'm glad you snot-nosed punks don't like them. More for us, plus that keeps the prices from climbing more than they already have.👍
    • Bringing this thread back on topic. I just noticed the incredible lack of bright chrome across the entire new lineup. Even the Denali has tinted the brightwork in the grille and has none elsewhere. None of them have chrome bumpers. As far as I can tell there aren't even chrome mirror caps. I'm curious if this also happens out back? Are there no chrome rear bumpers either? This is quite the departure for GMC.
