59K Sticker then good luck paying the dealer markup like dodge dealers love to do.

Unless they treat the Challenger differently than other vehicles, this is not true in my experience. I got $7K off the MSRP on my Ram. Also on saturday i placed an order for my wife's car, a 2015 200C, for $3K off the MSRP.

The Hell Cat looks awesome but for me the decision would come down to a GT500 or a ZL1, should i ever be faced with such a terrible dilemma

Yes maybe I will see about getting one - but I would never pay a "market adjustment" surcharge on anything. I'm not a big fan of the "blacked out" look on the Hellcat or any vehicle for that matter.

Dodge makes 5 billion rams a year, the hellcat is a limited edition model, when the challenger first released in 08 I believe it was selling for 10 grand over sticker the first couple months. IMO your not touching a hellcat for sticker price unless they prove to not sell very well.

They appear to have really stepped up on this. The interior actually looks good and the handling, braking, and acceleration are supposedly phenomenal. I will definitely be test driving one when they hit the dealers.

No way they will be giving test drives. Ford didn't give test drives when they came with the special edition Mustang years and years ago. I was at a dealership when they had a Camaro Black Panther edition on the show room it had a sign on the car stating NO TEST DRIVES.

Think about it with a car like that people would be lined up outside just to test drive them and not buy them. Do you think you can walk in a Lamborghini dealership and say " CAN I TEST DRIVE THAT?" ummmm I don't think so.

I was also told by a friend of mine he knows a guy who is a salesman at a Dodge dealership and he said to look for a 15-20,000 dollar mark up.

The Z/28 has seen a 10-25k markup. Plenty of dealers have them at msrp if they want to jack the price up with a bogus market adjustment I would bolt.

In 2012 I almost bought a ZL1. The only dealer I could find in indiana with an allocation wanted 5k over msrp. I walked they ordered a car and it didn't sell over msrp :).

Several dealers tried that 5-10K over MSRP when I bought my 2010 Camaro SS. I found one who didn't pull that shit and bought from him.

Don't let the gougers suck money out of you. These are the same 'tards that sell water for $10 a bottle during disasters. **** 'em.

The frenzy here for ZL1s was such that dealers and the people went crazy with price. Now there is usually at least one if not more at any time on the used car lots....

This. When I bought the firebird that was the deal also, and he said it was the same way when it bought bit from the previous owner. You advertise a car with "800+ HP" and you get a lot of jokers and time wasters. I didn't drive it until we met for me to pay him.

That said, I might be an exception. You pull up in something similar in power, and obviously haven't killed myself in it, they might treat me different, not that a Ferrari dealer would even let me park in their lot.

But a Ferrari driver pulls up in a modern Ferrari to a Ferrari dealership, they will get a test drive.

My wife used to drive sport cars, when she heard about the Honda S2000 years ago she wanted one they mark them up 10k. We walked she got an Acure Intagra type R. she still has it, its a blast for a front drive car. Its now a low mileage garage queen, she thinks it going to be the hemi cuda of the fast and furious crowd. I laugh at her for the first 10-12 years, I cant find any now, shes says 8 more years, shes laughing now.
