Not to rain on a parade but there are a countless number of better alternatives for anything and everything this car can do. Especially for the price bracket pre and post markup.

My wife used to drive sport cars, when she heard about the Honda S2000 years ago she wanted one they mark them up 10k. We walked she got an Acure Intagra type R. she still has it, its a blast for a front drive car. Its now a low mileage garage queen, she thinks it going to be the hemi cuda of the fast and furious crowd. I laugh at her for the first 10-12 years, I cant find any now, shes says 8 more years, shes laughing now.

Wouldn't say the Hemi Cuda. I think that will go to the very few Imported GT-Rs(R32ish era), and the RX-7 Twin Turbo which is already charging crazy prices. The E30 BMW M3 with 5 digit miles in good shape run mid 30 to high 30s. That's a price increase of 200%+ in less than 8 years.

It'll be the Duster Demon of its day.

You advertise a car with "800+ HP" and you get a lot of jokers and time wasters.

Exactly!

It's not only those people, but it is the youngsters that work at the dealership cleaning cars.

When the Boss 302 was reintroduced I gave some serious thought into buying one. Actually had the money in hand when I went to the Ford dealership to look at them. Was going to go with the black one with red stripe package.

The Ford lot was crazy with people that had absolutely no intention of buying, and could not afford it standing in line wanting to drive the cars. Unfortunately the local Ford dealer is a clown and allowed it to happen. There were 4 Boss 302 Mustangs at the dealership when I got there. They had red, orange, the black one I that was going to buy (sitting in showroom with 0 miles), and light blue. Not one of them on the lot had less than 250 miles from people on a 'test drive' aka pounding the crap out of a car they have no intent on buying.

I was actually sitting in the red car checking out the I interior and trying to get familiar with the Ford gauges when a salesman walked over with some punk kid and said "I am sorry sir but you are going to have to get out of this car, I have a customer here who needs to test drive this vehicle before he makes a decision". That was it for me, told him I had every intention of leaving with that car from the showroom but his stupidity and ignorance lost the sale. Will never go back there again, ever.

That's why the wife thinks its going to be worth big bucks, its all original. At 70 its turning 4k, redlines at 8.5k and noisy as hell. When it hits 6.5k it lights the tires in first and second, the front ones, funny as hell.

At least around me, I know a real type r will go for a pretty penny. It's cool to see an unmolested one! Dosent have a giant exhaust and dumb decals on it

The Hellcat is American muscle, and with over 700HP, it should be able to move even that bloated Challenger body down the road!

It gets babied now, the tires on it are 12 years old. I drive it early in the mornings once a month. Once a year it's goes to Honda for an oil change and service. It has 29 K miles, most in its first two years as a DD. A cop told her one day years ago she should put it up that they were getting stolen and jacked. She put it up and bought a Z28.
