Can you put these putco bulbs in a new silverado without damaging anything?

If so what is the part number for brighter bulbs from putco?

So the stock fog lights on my 2014 Sierra 1500 Crew Cab SLE are kind of lame. A bit yellow, run very hot and don't add much value with my stock headlights.

So I searched high and low for some replacement bulbs. I stumbled on this site etrailer.com. Super friendly, great site with superb customer service with great prices and picked up a pair of these there: Putco Optic 360 High Power LED Fog Lamp Bulbs - H16 - 360 Degree - White - 1 Pair P250001W

WOW!

These are great. I put them in in like 10 minutes, they fit perfectly and throw unbelievable light. So much that I have to turn them on at night when no one is coming at me or I bet they will be pissed.

I would love to know if anyone else has tried these.

Just for giggles I put my laser heat probe on the lights. The bulbs on the original fogs were at 130 degrees while the new Putco LED's were only 90 degrees.

The front temperature is more warm than with the original ones that run very hot. A nice side effect.

Sorry, I just wish I took pictures of the before and after to post.

Anyone tried these? for $75 bucks they are a good deal and I recommend these and etrailer.com to get them.

I bought these same fog lights. But having trouble putting them in. I can plug into harness no problem but when I get to the compression tabs they will not go into slots so I can release tabs yo lock into place. Thank you for your time

Yea. I had to push like he'll and still unsure if they cliped. That took more time than anything. They could work on that.

These look like the same thing just cheaper. Also a choice of 5k or 6k.

These are what I put in place of the factory bulbs. I like them, plenty of light. I'll snap a pic tonight.....

I did vled 5k for fogs and 55w/5k bulbs in my sierra, world of difference

I wonder if those are any better than these VLED ? Likely the same thing.. all made in the same China factory. http://www.vleds.com/shop-bulb-numbers/5202-9009/5202-5k-10-xb.html

I have the VLED in my Sierra.. they seem ok.

I have the vleds and had the same fit issue. They are still installed, but I plan on returning them because all they kinda suck. It adds almost no additional light and only changes the color from stock to white.

I haven't had any complaints yet. Only compliments. With the Silvertstar Ultras, the combination really works. I can't wait to to the all on "hack" this weekend

I would like to see a detailed write up / pictures on how you did this. I just want a good set of fog lights in the factory spot.... especially now we can hack and use with hi beams. Don't want light bars and all that junk.
