Lights behind grill

Here's how I did mine. I just got a piece of aluminum from Home Depot and cut it down. I bolted it to the radiator mounts and then the light bar to that.

I don't have a direct pic of what I did so I found the best I could and zoomed in, brightened it, and cleared it up as best I could on my iPhone with my photo apps.

do you mind taking a closer up?

I can. But will have to wait till this weekend or next. At school and don't have my tools with me. It will likely be next weekend if you can wait. If not I can try to reach my phone and hand in there to get a good picture.

I have to pass by the parking garage on my way to my dorm. I will stop at my truck and try to get a picture of the mount through the grille if possible. If not then I have to remove the headlights on December 12th anyway since I am shipping them to Phil at Fastheadlights on the 13th so I can remove the grille and get some good pictures for you then.

I went to my local dealer and they are putting 38" Rigid's in.

They're cutting in to something for sure.

Was it just plastic? When I tried, it looked like it was metal supports. I'll have to get in there and look again.

I didn't look close enough to see it. I asked the "aftermarket assecories guy" if they had to cut and he said No....that is why they went with the 38" / he said anything larger would require cutting.

I don't know how they are not cutting, my 37" required cutting out some plastic, there are some mock up photos back in post 30 and some finished pics in one of the other threads.

I'm going to ask what looks like an ignorant question, but bear with me it is to reinforce my point with someone that watts law still applies to LED light bars. If you buy a 180 watt light bar it should be about 15 amps and if you get a 300 watt light bar it should draw about 25 amps. I know they can be rated at 13.5 volts so it would be 13.3 amps and 22.2 amps. However there is no way a 300 watt light would only draw 14.5 amps, correct?
