Pretty much summed it up lol.

I like the looks of both.

My final decision was performance. Even with 33's on my truck with 3.08 would feel pretty week. I swore after having my old truck on 35's with 3.42 that I would not do another one without gears. After factoring price in for lift, tire, wheels, gears, tune, all that stuff. Just don't wanna drop that much money on it right now.

I mean Wheels lift and gear looking around 6500. I mean were talking supercharger money right there.

Very simple.

2wd: lower

4wd: lift

I have had a few of each but only + or - a few inches because I don't like harsh rides and airbags are expensive.

if I completely remove the rear axle block then add the shackle and use the 1" drop holes for an expected total rear end drop of 2 1/4" will it effect anything with the truck as far as the front end alignment caster or camber stuff and what does this do for end clearances for the driveshaft as it fits into the transmissions.

I realize all these things will not change much but they will be different so im trying to understand things that might change slightly after this mod

I would also like to get more of a Cadillac ride from it and right now it rides like a hard tail harley so every bump has me lifting off the seat and that's just way too tight of suspension so what are the less expensive options to soften the rear suspension or does it just have to brake in by carrying some weight around to soften it up?

im leary of lowering the front as it seams a lot more involved then whats done to lower the rear which looks simple and easy. whatever I do it would be with hand tools and ratchets in the driveway so im limited to simple basic changes not requiring special tools or high skill level. I only have a degree in shade tree mechanics and that's the limit of my skill.

I guess you were joking with your comment to raise the rear because the rear is already up 3" higher off the ground then the front so why in the world would I raise it even higher? it would look and feel like its going down hill all the time even more then it does now lol

I'm using the Rough Country 2" front drop and it was easier to install than the 2" rear shackles and removing the factory 1-1/4" block (for a 3-1/4" rear drop). Mine aligned fine, but I will throw this out there, not all trucks are the same. My last 2013 crew cab I lowered 4/5 and it didn't align anywhere close to most of the other people that lowered theirs 4" in the front. Build tolerances on the frame of the truck can be off from frame to frame.

In regards to the driveshaft slip, you shouldn't have any issues at all with 2" or even 3" rear drop. Some people run into driveshaft problems when they drop the rear 5" to 7" or even more. Some have issues and some don't. Goes back to the frame tolerances.

The rims on the lowered truck are extremely popular where I am. I have seen atleast 10-15 different SUVs and trucks with them and atleast 90% of them are replicas becuase I have only seen 1-2 with a stock center cap
