Are Weathertechs Junk?

Recommended Posts

I've been reading reviews for the last 2 months and finally picked Weathertech over Husky. My Weathertechs showed up yesterday and I think they are awful considering the price. I ordered black and the fronts are black while the rear is a charcoal grey. The rear mat fits perfectly while the fronts are curled/bunched up. The passenger front slides around and almost made my wife twist her ankle. Is this typical weathertech or am I the exception?

I think I'm going to send them back for Huskies.

They will take a bit of time to settle. This is my 3rd vehicle with Weathertechs and I've always been 100% happy with them. But I have a 2011 so I can't speak for the fit/quality of the 2014+ ones.

I have them in 3 vehicles currently. No issues whatsoever. They are great mats

My last set of huskys in our 08 Tahoe were awful. They curled up and never stayed in place. Previous to that I had huskys in my 2000 and they were fine

Bought some weathertechs about 3 years ago for a 528i and they warped over time. The material is more of a plastic instead of rubber. They have a lifetime warranty so I can get them replaced.

Get the Husky Weatherbeaters for the 2014's.

I bought a set for my girlfriends 2013 silverado and the front ones don't fit right and slide around. Thought I'd give it time to settle but that was over a year ago and they still don't fit right. So for my 2014 I bought the husky set and I am very happy with the fit in my truck.

I had weather techs in my Tacoma and they were awesome. The ones for my silverado didn't fit to my satisfaction. Bought the huskys and couldn't be happier.

I had Weathertechs in my last truck and it will be the last set I buy. I switched to Husky and I'm very pleased. Get Husky and dont look back.

Weather techs are great mats I just don't like how hard it is to get them looking 100% clean again. Seems like you really have to scrub them. I have the classic style Husky mats in my Grand Prix, they are easier to clean but show scratches that much more

I had Husky liners in an old truck and now the Weathertech liners. I prefer the Husky liners.
