If the WT's didn't fit I'd argue they're the wrong model liners for the truck. Everything is laser measured to fit perfect. So there's only 3 reasons they wouldn't fit:

 

1) It's the wrong model number WT floor liner

2) GM builds trucks with inconsistent dimensions

3) WT builds liners with inconsistent dimensions

 

#1 is the only scenario that seems possible to me. Of course I'm sure there are a ton of jokes to make about scenario #2 haha. But my WT's fit perfect....as if the liquid rubber was poured into the truck and dried on the floor.

 

I wouldn't be at all surprised if WT has in fact done a redesign for the 2014's. I don't know how long my dealer had the mats in stock, and if in fact they were the latest design, but the mats he had, and the box was properly marked as being for a 2014 Silverado, fit like @#%**.

 

I have read a number of threads on floormats, and it is strange, that some are more than happy with the WT, and there are just as many that feel as I do, they just don't fit very well. In my case, nowhere near as well as they fit my 2007. This is what sort of makes me think there was a redesign after the negative comments started coming out, although, I've never heard or read anything to substantiate this to be a fact.

 

Since I really don't have anything concrete to make me think there are any WT mats that will fit any better than those my dealer had, and I sure wouldn't be happy with those, thats why I'm going to go with the Husky brand. I have read no negative comments regarding the fit of the Husky's.

True they could have redesigned them. I got my truck and WT liners in February/March this year so if there was a measurement issue they definitely could have corrected it by then with the truck being in production for almost a year at that point

I guess you had to be there? WT did do an engineering change, and felt guilty enough to replace the early 2014 liners with the improved version, if requested. Had they had those last fall/winter when I was buying, I might have WT's in my truck instead of Husky's. The Husky Weatherbeaters were the best fit back then, and I have not checked out the newest version of the 2014 WT's since I have already bought the Husky's. Very happy with what I have.

 

BTW, here is that full back seat Husky Weatherbeater floor liner.

Yeah you're right the weatherbeaters have a full coverage version for the back seat. I was looking at the X-Act contour product which doesn't. But that's good they make something and definitely do what you're most comfortable with. I was just offering some advice based on my experience with WT.

I bought Weather Tech liners this time around. First time I've owned them. I ordered a set for my last truck and the seller never sent them. I kept the little "fig-leaf" factory mats the whole 5 years I had the truck.

 

I do agree with those that say the WT driver's mat moves around a bit. Just like the picture above, my mat is curled at the kick panel.

Very happy with how my weathertechs fit. Third set of weathertechs and they always fit perfect. 

 

 

I'm glad that you are happy with your WT mats, and I don't mean to start any controversy, but this is certainly not what I would call a "Perfect" fit. The rears do look to be a very good fit, but the fronts are another story,

 

They appear to be curled at the kick panel, not lying flat along the sill plates, and also appear to be pulled away from the edge along the centre hump area. I had WT's in my 2007, and they fit absolutely perfect. Thats why I'm dissapointed in the fit of the 2014's. I'm happy that you are able to overlook these issues, but I'm not.

Yes, I agree that the kickplate is curled up, but this was the case with the others two weather tech mats I had as well. After the mat formed to the truck, instead of the shipping box, it lays perfectly flush. I've had these mats in this truck for two days. They'll be laying flush by next week…

How long have you had them? I only ask in the hopes the curling up on the drivers side will lay flat overtime.

I have always ordered WT but may take another look at husky.

Here you go. But to be fair, I don't have the grommets in the anchors. I may just trim the big curled part off.
