Yeah the grommets on the floor liner are a little larger and don't actually "snap" onto the floor post. I guess a little water could possibly seep down in there onto the carpet.

I opted to swap the grommets from the factory mats onto the 3d liners. Took about 5mins once I figured out how they were attached.

The factory floor mat grommets are just "snapped" together, a little careful prying and they'll pop right off. The 3d liner grommets are actually threaded together.

If you look on the backside there's two holes in the grommet, use a pair of needle nose pliers or large snap ring pliers if you have them to hold them in place. Then use a pair of channel lock pliers on the other side and unscrew the two pieces. Once you break them free they actually come off fairly easy. Then just snap the factory grommets onto the 3D liners and away you go!

Now they're completely sealed and secured to the floor post.

My Aries mats were the same way...did the same thing using factory grommets. I also sent email to Aries about this. Best mats I've ever had.

Unfortunately there are only a couple options for the over the hump front liners. Not a fan of the Husky hump cover being a separate piece. Seems the WTs are about the only option.

Got the truck finally and had a chance to take a few pics of the liners. Again these are the MAXpider 3D in black.

 

 

 

 

 

So far I'm impressed, they fit great right out of the box and I think they compliment the All-Terrains interior nicely.

They definitely have a tighter fit than Weather-Techs and the velcro like backing really grabs the carpet so there's no sliding.

 

Coverage is great, although the WT's do wrap up the sides more than the 3D's... but the WT's tend to curl in there so I wouldn't really call it a benefit.

Hopefully the wear as good as they look!

Can you update on how these are holding up? I was looking at ordering them, but I question how much dirt will get in the little grooves and how much they will show scuffs. Current pics after use would be great!

I'll get some pics when I get time...my Aries (which are the same as MAXpider 3D mats) are holding up real well. While they do get some dirt in the grooves, it comes off real easy - most of the time I just vacuum them off or use a rag with Simple Green and they clean right up. I really like how soft they are and that they don't slide around at all.

I had the weathertechs and I returned them and bought Huskys x-acts in the front and weatherbeaters in the rear. I could not be any more pleased with this decision. The people who are happy with WTs have not had the luxury of trying the huskys.

I have the husky xact in the front also and like them so far. They look nice and fit well. Still haven't decided what to do in the rear yet....

I have WeatherTech's and could not be more pleased. Fit is fantastic and coverage is complete......can only see a very small amount of carpet at the very front of the center hump under the dash (my truck has the 40/20/40 bench). Black makes sense to me as a floor covering.......but then again my interior is black.

 

I just bought the WeatherTech Digital Fit mats - they're great. Fit is perfect and expansive. Great for kids/animals (kind of the same thing really). The only weird thing is they overlap the sill - looks a bit sloppy, but I gather the idea is that the overlap protects even more and they can drain easily without having to remove the mat.

I have the Husky's as well and preferred them over the Weathertech's.

I just got the Husky Xact front and full coverage rear liners. The fit is great. I love the rubber feel of the liners over hard plastic. They look good in the truck too!

Hi Everyone,

 

I'm shopping for quality floor liners for my '15 Denali I just ordered. I like the Husky X-Act in that it seems to provide more coverage than the WeatherTech.

 

The only problem is that the X-Act's only comes in black. I'm not prejudice mind you. It's just that I'm getting the cocoa interior.

 

Anyone have opinions on which is the best color liner for cocoa interior?

 

I think WT's tan is too light. I wish husky would offer a dark brown.

 

Let me know what you think - especially if I am being too vein over color. Should I be considering another brand?

Why not get the GMC all weather from the dealer ? I did and am very happy with them

My truck came with them and the are nice, but I wanted something that covered the floor more completely.

Having seen both first hand, the factory all weather Mars have nothing on the Husky's as far as got and finish. Just my opinion.

are the factory all season mats the cheap mats that came with my truck that do not cover but a 1/3 of the floor.
