Floor liners

That looks similar to a brand called Catch-all, I have not bought or seem them in years. I think I had a set in my 98 ext cab.

Did you like them? Were they as easy to clean as vinyl? And did they fit like the WT or Huskys do?

If I remember correctly, the fit and finish was nice and they held up well. But overtime, I developed a wear spot were my heal rest.

I think my current WT mats would have been a better choice. Although this was on the CatchAll brand whinch looks a little different that the one you pictured.

I dropped by the dealer yesterday to see what the GMC brown all weather mats looked like in a cocoa interior truck. The brown color looks very rich with the cocoa carpet. Obviously it doesn't have much coverage. Why aftermarket mat companies aren't offering brown in their color lineup is beyond me.

 

I got to thinking about a comment earlier in this thread (maybe another, I can't remember) about how these all coverage mats reminded him of the vinyl interiors of yesteryear. Then it reminded me of grandma's plastic covered sofa in her living room. What's the point in even having a nice sofa if you can't enjoy it?

 

I am always thinking about maximizing resale value but I don't want to dress my truck in condoms to do so. I want to enjoy the thing. I like the rich brown color. Besides, I have factory Ford all weather mats in my truck now (7 years old). It's been through a lot of mud with our dirt biking/racing. I cleaned the heck out of the carpet getting it ready for appraisal and it came out looking like new.

 

So, it's dark brown GMC mats for me.

The dealer installed all weather mats are the same color as what you looked at. They are a little better than the factory. Thats all I have for now. But its just the wife and I 99% of the time.

Well I received my "Husky Xact fit" floor liners today. As advertised, they fit like the proverbial glove, and IMHO, they look great. This is what I call a perfect fit. It's also nice, that the don't cover up the sill plate.

 

I have the CD Interior, and the Black goes fine with the interior. You don't even notice it. Being that the floor area is usually kinda dark, and the carpeting is dark chocolate brown, they almost look dark brown at first glance.

 

Very pleased, and would reccomend them.

If you think you want to go with WT, I would stongly advise you to find a retailer that has them in stock, and will let you try them in your truck. I was a big WT fan before this, and my dealer had 2 sets in stock when my truck came in, so I was able to try them. I wouldn't accept the fit of either set we tried. Just didn't come up to my expectations for the WT fit.

 

Seems there are a number of folks that do find the WT's acceptable, and there is some talk that WT did in fact do a re-design, because of poor fitment. If so, how many of the "Old" style are still out there, in dealer's stock is the question. If there is a "New and Improved" version, I don't know how you would be able to tell, or be sure you were getting that version without seeing the liner in person.

 

I would check them out in person.

The redesigned mats come with the carpet screws for the passenger side. I ordered mine through autoaccessoriesgarage.com I called and ordered them so I could make sure that they were indeed the redesigned mats.

Can anyone tell me if there is a differance between the Husky WeatherBeater mats and the X-act mats. -Thank you

I have a set of tan weathertech mats and the fit on the front isn't perfect but I can live with it. I had a set on my 09 f150 and they fit great and seemed to be made of better materials. I have the improved set with passenger carpet screws also.

I could be wrong, but it looks like Husky has re-tooled their X-act Contour mats to be about the same width as the Weatherbeater. All the pictures I've seen of the Contour has them covering the sill plate trim. Post #64 by "revitupfaster" is the first time I have seen the Contour not covering the sill plate trim.

That's pretty much what I did - weatherbeaters up front and weathertech's for the rear.

 

My reason for using both companies wasn't sure if I wanted to cover over the hump in the front row and with weathertech's its all or nothing. With the weatherbeaters I can always order the center hump cover separately if I choose to cover it over.

 

I'm really glad I went this route because the weathertech's tend to move around a bit in the back, whereas the weatherbeaters don't move a bit up front. One of my pet peeves has always been floor mats that shift around.

The Weatherbeater full rear will not budge once in place. Same with the Husky Gear Box, the jack handle mounts over them.

My Husky Weatherbeaters came yesterday. I am happy with the look and fit. They definitely will not move around front or rear.

I prefer the Weathertech of over the Husky. I have both. Both provide good protection, but the Weathertech fit better and more importantly sit better on the floor. I noticed regardless of temperature, the Husky liners appear to cup or fold. Weathertech more discrete since the sit on floor better.

Weatherbeaters have the hole cutouts for the floor posts. I've read some complaints that water/snow/salt can get through those holes and then you have spend more time and effort to clean the carpet. The X-act's do not appear to have those holes, just like the Weathertechs don't have the holes either, they just sit on top of the floor posts.
