It's really up to you and what you ultimately want out of your truck. I'd say if you plan on towing upwards of 7500 - 8000lbs, I would wait until January to get the 3.42 and the heavy duty towing suspension (NHT). I put my order in last week for the 6.2L 8-speed with a 3.23 rear, mainly because I wont be towing anything over 5-6000lbs (Max is 9200lbs on a DC 4WD 3.23 rear) and the Max Towing Option now comes with the larger towing mirrors, which i don't really like the look of. I asked the dealer if I could order the 3.42 NHT without the bigger mirrors and the system would not allow for the change.

For everyone who has a 6.2/8-speed on the railcar, it was seen at New Orleans, LA this morning. I also noticed my ETA to the distribution center in Winston Salem, NC was changed from Nov 6th to Nov 4th.

Dealer just sent me the shipping/4200 status! Now let's see how long it takes to get from Silao Mexico to NC!

 

My truck is here dealership called tonight hopefully getting it tomorrow if the paper work and inspection is ready

clean and sharp looking truck post pics

All new GMC Sierra Denali White Diamond with the new 8 speed auto and the 6.2L engine

put about 35 miles on it so far today

shifts are flawless when accelerating can't even tell

feels to me that the truck goes into V4 mode more often and quicker with the 8 speed and the truck likes to change gears quick when you take off from starts

 

The Magnetic ride control is AMAZING i must say it feels like I'm riding in a car that cost 6 figures. wow want an amazing combo with magnetic ride control and the 8 speed

my 2014 denali did not have the off road package and it is night and day with this new truck the ride is unbelievable

 

Wifi is nice to have as well as the new slight changes to the dash info system and main 8" display

 

Love the white diamond tri coat over the summit white paint

 

Spray in bed liner with Denali Logo definitely makes a bold statement to add a nice touch

 

loe the truck so far will give more info on speed and acceleration when i put more miles on and the engine breaks in more
