Going from the 02 single cab/shortbox to the CC 6.6 box was very trying the first week. But after 2 weeks I learned it pretty well

HAHA we used to call mine the "school bus". have the standard bed now and realized quickly i didn't need the extra 18-20 inches....

dude that hilarious! We called my 2011 8ft'er "the school bus" too. I thought that extra foot or two would come in handy, but about a year or so in i realized it didn't, and all it did was make parking a horror show. Have the standard bed now and couldn't be happier-and don't miss the extra space a bit.

Couldn't imagine not have the Standard Box.

Wouldn't be able to even fit my lacrosse sticks in the back of a shorty.

Loaded it up last weekend with metal rails that just barely fit. Already seems to be worth it.

When I started shopping around for my Sierra -- and believe me I shopped hard online and on the lots around town -- it became abundantly clear the most affordable options were anything but a CC. To save $150 a month I opted for the DC.

I agree - best deals were on double cab. I personally like the look of the double cab/short bed. It also appears we have similar tastes in color.
