You're likely going to have to put money on top. Might as well use that money and just have them painted or even better and cheaper, wrapped

Bump. Also, anybody got a good product to use to wrap these? Will vinyl peel start peeling off chrome over time?

3m 1080 vinyl, if you have onyx black, their gloss black color matches almost perfect! I got 30 square feet off eBay for around 60 bucks or so

I haven't done my bumpers yet bc I don't have a garage and it's been too cold outside. Here's a pic of the emblems and mirror caps I did, not the best pictures and I still had fingerprints all over the vinyl. But you can see the color compared to the paint is pretty much spot on.

 

I've applied pre-cut vinyl decals to bedsides and emblems for friends before, but this was my first time using vinyl stock and cutting it to fit. I googled "vinyl application" and found plenty of how to videos. You need heat to apply it correctly, either a hair dryer or heat gun will do the trick.
