I use a ratchet strap. I keep one across the back tiedown loops. One thing I'll give Ram is with the Rambox bed you get a pretty cool bed divider/tailgate extender thing.

At first I thought it was a great idea, which in some ways it is, but it makes the actual bed width really narrow. One can say that a rail to rail toolbox shortens the bed, but you can always make the bed longer in one way or the other, but you can't make the bed wider. Now if you used the truck primarily for towing and never really used the bed to haul then the Rambox would be great for things needed for trailers. But, I can't remember if they even offered the Rambox on the HD trucks because I don't know how well a gooseneck or 5th wheel would clear the bed while turning.

They say you can still do a 4x8 sheet of material. I like them because for me the truck is literally a grocery getter. I travel for work in rentals and only drive the truck on weekends lately. I'm considering a regular cab on the next truck so that makes it even nicer for me as it adds the dry/secure storage.

So yeah, I'm one of the people who drives trucks just because they're awesome, I live in an apartment on the outer edge of the suburbs so it's not like I actually have a use for it beyond wanting a 4x4 for winter. For someone who hauls a lot in the bed it's likely a bad choice.

That's me too. I do sometimes tow a big heavy trailer, so a car is out. I don't fill the bed more than a couple of times a year.

If a 4x8 sheet of OSB or plywood can fit in one flat then it's very tight. You have to think that with a lot of things car companies can find a loophole or not tell the entire truth. Sure a 4x8 sheet of OSB or plywood can fit in even an S10, but not flat on the bed floor. Same as for this truck and my last truck, ya a sheet of OSB or plywood could fit in the bed but not length wise without it resting on the tailgate rather it's up or down. I used to work at a building material company and I don't remember seeing anybody with the Rambox and if so I don't remember if they picked up any 4x8 sheets. Of course it's hard to remember such a little thing for the time I was there, but I really don't remember anybody with a Rambox coming in. Also they didn't seem to keep the idea for long. Probably for the reason I don't like it, too narrow of a bed. Same for Chevy Avalanches, the plastic pieces look ugly and also the ned is a little narrower. It's one of those things that only certain people would like it enough to sacrifice bed width for built in rail boxes. Plus there's a couple things I keep in my toolbox that wouldn't get in the Rambox rails or even a rail toolbox like you see on work trucks,

Ram still offers the Rambox.

I put in a roll out rubber floor liner, and add plastic containers with lids. Nothing moves on the rubber mats. And a tri fold bed cover.

I wouldn't be without it. No more smaller stuff sliding to the front. I usually have the tonneau cover down and it makes it hard to reach stuff at the front of the bed. I recently took the gas filter from my snow blower and went to the auto parts store with it. I put it in the bed of the truck so I wouldn't have gas smell inside. When I got there, 3 young boys were standing outside and I pulled down the tailgate and took out the fuel filter. They gave me some crap about it.

I was surprised by the number of people that look in my truck and say oh thats what those slots in the bed are for. Do you get that alot?

Several times!

I have 4 pull straps one top tie to top tie, one bottom tie to bottom tie, and two bottom to top making an X. I have my golf bag back there right now waiting to go.

I use two 2x6s and they will be drilled with a holesaw and a jigsaw to lighten them and to provide "grab handles".

That's precisely what those notches are for in the bed. There are other notches throughout the bed that allow you to add dividers.

Do they sell actual dividers to put in those slots?

Yes. You can find them at any lumber yard. You have to cut to fit though
