Formula "E" racing

I'm watching a Formula "E" race. At first I thought they looked a lot like Formula 1 cars, but the sound just isn't right. That's because they're electric. I guess I just haven't been in touch with modern racing classes for some time. Sound just like my old slot cars I used to race when I was a kid. Each team keeps a second car in the pit garage, so when they run out of "energy", they pit and swap cars. Good racing even if it does sound weird.

Well Formula E is actually very new. I believe it started in 2013, but I could be wrong. Electric motors have instant torque, but I need a sound to come out of the car. To me it would almost be like watching a race on mute lol. When I was in high school I participated in taking out the engine and putting in an electric motor in an 80s S10 and then went to an EV (Electric Vehicle) Challenge with it. Did different types of racing with them. It was fun, but I love the sound of a V8 or Diesel so it didn't sound right for me lol.
