4x4 Light

I had read that some prior models had the graphics and light in the dash for an indicator of the 4x4 mode for the manual lever version (WT trim?). Some threads, either here or on other forums had guys saying a "flash" was needed to activate it (ECM/TCM/BCM???). So, I was looking at my dash cluster (SLT AT) for a possible unused 4x4 symbol in the tach and speedo today. I didn't see any lit symbol when I turn the key to the "ON" position I think I see something unlit, that may be it, in the speedo between the 20, 30, and center needle. Anyone else see this?

The LED/Provision was in the cluster, it was not programmed to illuminate...

Correct.

The only light was the one on the switch.

 

I've not heard of anyone 'activating' the spot on the cluster, but it would be a great 'mod' since it was easier to 'feel or hear' that 4wd was engaged than to notice the light on the dial. (at least for me)

My 2015's DIC shows when I'm in 2wd or 4wd.

Unfortunately, it is the "off road" screen on the DIC. I can snap a pic if you still want me to.
