tonneau cover & extra mpg?

Anyone installed a cover on the bed & saw an improvement in gas mileage?

Just installed a Tonno LoRoll ... Looks good and functions well ... No help on MPGs

Same...No help. You can hurt it by dropping your tailgate though.

Ive been looking at a lot of covers & most claim up to 10% increase in mileage. I'm very skeptical & I check my mileage at every fill up. Just was wanting some real world use & not manufacturers BS.

It's a myth. Actually I believe Myth Busters did something on this on one of their episodes. If I remember right it was best with no cover and the tailgate UP. Bigger vortex bubble I think?

I have a Retrax One cover and I haven't see any increase in MPG's.

That's correct, I think they said your tailgate being UP with no cover is the same as with a cover due to the vortex from the height of your roof in contrast to the height of the gate.
