I haven't been able to make myself buy it yet, it says it's abs plastic. I don't know how I feel about paying that for a plastic grill. Are the stock grills mostly plastic?

Everything but the screws, bolts, and nut clips. The SLE/SLT/AT Grilles are two main parts, the inner grille and the surround. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Denali Grille is all one piece?

Is an all terrain grill assembly a direct swap on an SLT? They look the same as far as the surround goes, just checking to see if anyone knows for sure.

Yes. If you go to my gallery, you cam see four different combinations with the two complete grilles I have. I had the iridium surround on my AT Grille at first, but settled on my original intention of the chrome surround with the AT Grille. I added a personal touch to mine, with the Z71 grille badge. It's the only one I've seen like it. A couple guys here have since also added the badge like mine.

Thanks man! those combos all look pretty good to me! I may buy an a/t with onyx black surround, found one for $300 w/emblem, seems like a descent deal to me but I could be wrong. Then I'll have a ptm surround and chrome surround, then the slt insert and a/t insert to play with (same as you have I believe). I'm really just after the surround honestly, but haven't had any luck finding one.

I got my OEM Denali grille for $680 from my local dealer here in MS. It changed the entire look at the truck. I want to get the license plate cover but am hesitant to spend $70 on it. The mirrored tag I currently have on the front detracts from the grille. I also have the SLT grille that's just sitting in a box. Not sure whether to keep it or hang on to it.

It would fit. However, make sure the part number is correct. The 2500, and 3500 grilles are not compatible. The part number your looking for is

22758168.

Has anyone got any updates on this grille? Anyone ordered the gloss black, and if so, how does it match? Anyone who ordered either flat or gloss, how did the grille fit? I just ordered the gloss black version for my Onyx black truck. Will give a review to fit and finish when it comes in.. hoping someone can chime in before I get it to either put my mind at ease for my purchase or make me feel like I made a mistake! Anything! Lol
