Pretty excited that the truck turned 200,000 miles this morning.

I bought it new in June of 2003 and there's probably less then 100 miles with someone else behind the wheel. It still has the original engine and trans. Truck has been really reliable, but here's my list of repairs:

-Replaced transfercase with rebuilt one then rebuilt that one 100k miles later because of pump rub

-Replaced Gov-loc for limited slip when the carrier started going bad

-1 fuel pump

-1 water pump

-Intake manifold gaskets(Probably going to need to do this again)

-Idler arm, Pitman arm, and steering box

-Front wheel bearings

-Fuel Lines

-Brake lines(Did cab body mounts when I did this as well)

-Filler neck

-HVAC controller

-Fan blower controller

-New rear driveshaft and universals

Here's what's up next:

-Upper Passenger ball joint starting to show a little play(Moog problem solver upper arms sitting on the bench waiting to go on)

-Going to possibly replace/rebuild the trans this year.

Turned 200,000 going North on 287 in NJ (Milemarker 23.3). Was listening to Beck, Blue Moon form Morning Phase. (Kanye West thought I should have been listening to Beyonce)

Hell yeah! Any future motor/tranny rebuild plans? Or just waiting for them both to give? Pretty sure the motor will last longer than the tranny.

Looks sharp! I feel better about my truck because it has had the almost identical maintenance items as yours. I'm getting closer to 300,000, and drives as good as the day i bought it.

The engine still feels strong and has 40 lbs oil pressure at idle with around 60 when cruising at 2200 rpm, so I'm going to leave that be.

The trans seems ok, but when I drive for 1.5 hours plus, it will start acting funny. I tow with the truck so I'm hoping to get it done this year before it fails.

With that many miles, I'd be tempted to redo the whole front end, ball joints, bushings, tie rod ends just to have it all done.

Congrats on the milestone!

Nice! :)

These GMT800's are solid rides. I have 154k on mine and so far only had to replace the fuel pump and right rear brake caliper. Lucky to live in the south with no salt. Underside still looks new.

234K miles on mine! Original motor/trans/rear end ! I have put that truck through so much hell and it keeps on going :) I just recently put a 6 inch lift and 37s on it as well. Truck is still solid and dependable

Congrats! Take care of her and you can join the 300k miles club!

Congrats on the mileage!

I have a few questions though. What brake lines did you install?

And...

Did you replace the HVAC controller because of the annoying "ticking" noises from the vane actuators in the dash?

My truck is knocking on the 200K's door right now. She has about 450 miles left before she hits that mark. Congrats to you and your truck
