2014 Installed rearview camera with 4.2" factory MyLink display

My camera started to fail, so I felt I would like to install a OEM camera, so that "next time", I'd know what camera to get for replacement.

I ran into quite a few obstacles. I had to do a lot of research to find the correct plug for mating with the camera. Also,  what wires are used and what is their function.

Once, all of that was in place, I was ready to reconfigure the wire harness. The wires are quite small, so difficult to work with .... they had to be crimped (with a Molex tool) on the pins, and because they were so small, I elected to carefully solder them, as well. The particular Molex connector used, also, had a learning curve, as to how to extract and insert pins. My harness, could of had more wires (5), but only had 3 and a shield drain wire. The power wire (red) got spliced to the trigger wire and the shield drain was the video (-) wire. Your wires could certainly be of a different color.

Bottom line: It worked!
