Anybody want to try and talk me out of this?

So Uncle Sam is giving me some of my money back, and I'm going to buy my truck some new shoes with it. I'm going to push the max size this time. I think I am going to go for 305 65 18 BFG All Terrains on my factory Z71 wheels. I have a 2.5" Top Gun Customs level and I'm not scared of the Nor Cal fender mod. My back up plan is 33x12.5x18 General Grabber AT2s, which we have on my girls 4 Runner, If someone tells me a horror story. So any help from someone with the 305 65 18 or 305 55 20 would be helpful

You're problem will come from rubbing against the suspension. Given the NorCal mod provides enough clearance, which it probably will. So get used to not having a full turning radius.

I saw a couple guys on gm fullsize run them in the factory wheels and just rub on the inner fenders. But I take everything I read there with a grain of salt.

Wouldn't doubt it...I was aiming more for load stability if you plan on towing as the sidewall won't be "properly lined up" to the bead of the wheel and put more stress on the sidewalls of the tire. More risk for blowout? Under heavy loads.

Ahh I didnt even tjink if that... 4 times a year I do have 2000 lbs of pellets in the bed of my tuck. Well I guess that scraps that

The stock offset with that wide of a tire will in fact cause the tire to contact the suspension in tight turns. Your wheels are 8" wide iirc, so they're a little on the narrow side for those tires, but not by much.
