I don't have a carry permit, but I plan on getting one as soon as I can which probably won't be soon either.

Right now I have a Glock 19 that I plan on carrying. I also have an M&P 40 full size, but that will stay at the house. When I do get a carry permit I also plan on getting a Glock 26 as a backup and will get it either before or around the same time as getting a carry permit. I say 26 so I can use the 19 mags for both guns.

You plan on carrying a 19 and 26 at the same time?

For me it wasn't so much about the trigger safety as it was the "grittieness" of the trigger. M&P are shit from the factory but even just polishing them with stones and they are WAY better. I'm surprised for such an awesome gun they continue to throw terrible triggers in them.

I got the aluminum trigger on mine. I didn't trust the polymer one at first truth be told. I think it's nice but if I could do it over again I'd prob save the cash and go with polymer. Maybe on the next gun.

Ya what I plan on doing is carrying the 19 on my side at about the 2 o'clock position and then the 26 in the middle of my back. I thought about the 43, but the slime Glocks are single stack and I want to be able to use my 19 mags in the 26. That may change, but that's just my plan for now.

I switch my CCW every so often for some reason. Many times it has to do with clothing or weather, sometimes it's 'just because'. The past month or so, I've been carrying my Sig P228 off duty in a kydex IWB holster with extra magazine on the opposite side, and my Glock 26 on my left ankle wearing long pants. I'm sure I'll switch up again at some point though.

Springfield xdm subcompact with a crossbreed supertuck.

Before that it was an xd subcompact in a crossbreed supertuck.

I don't switch it up too much.

Sig 227 normally in an alien wear IWB. If I want to go smaller because of my clothes I got with my Ruger Sr9c in a N82 tactical Pro.

Tomorrow morning my carry will be a M&P9 Shield. No holster. Installed a clip on the slide and swapped out the loaded chamber indicator

SW c40. I'm looking at a shield 9 though

Not sure how other versions are, but here, there is a thumb safety which isnt a big deal. The Loaded Chamber Indicator is dumb. First thing i did was swap it out with a low profile from Apex Tactical. Also the Clipdraw is a nice addition.

I'm not a big fan of a thumb safety. If I wanted a certain gun bad enough and it only came with a thumb safety then I could get used to it so it wouldn't be a make or break, but if I had the choice I wouldn't. I remember when I asked the place I got my M&P 40 from I specifically made sure it didn't have the thumb safety. I know I sure don't want a thumb safety on a carry gun, just preference though lol.

Only CA model has a thumb safety. The shield was the only compact 9mm i cared for with a 3" barrel. If i wanted a little bigger, it would have been a Sig P239
