Close To Ordering 2015 SLT - Question(s)...

Hey guys. New to forum, first post. Been reading these forums for months now trying to get some good info on the 6.2L with 8 speed.

Here's what I am planning on that I don't have questions:

Stone Blue Metallic or Fire Red, possibly the Sonoma Red or whatever... really was thinking the Blue but I test drove a Fire Red SLE and really liked it... I'm in a Victory Red Avalanche right now so was thinking I want to switch it up ya know. Still deciding on the color.

SLT Crew Cab 4x4

Black Leather Interior.

Standard Bed (changing from Short Box)

Max Trailering Package - gets me 20" wheels I think

Preferred Package

6.2L

Front and Rear Black Molded Splash Guards

Towing Mirrors

Power Rear Sliding Window with Rear Defogger

Spray-on Bedliner

Tow Hooks

Ok, some questions...

Leather Split Bench Seat - Do these come heated?

Verdict is yes.

Tie-Down Rings - Bed Mounted - so these are like those "D" rings or whatever that I can hook a ratchet strap to, right? I will be putting an ATV/Sled back there occasionally.

Verdict is yes.

Hard Tri-Folding Tonneau Cover - maybe? Should I go aftermarket on this instead? I want a hard cover that is easy to remove for when I am hauling a ATV or Sled

License Plate Holder - I guess this is an option? I do want one, lol.

Interior Trim Kit - does anyone have a picture of this?

Premium Sill Plates - does anyone have a picture of this?

Brake Controller Package - Associated Accessories - what exactly is this? Is this an adapter to some different braking systems? I am unfamiliar with the world of trailer brakes.
Sounds like this is an aftermarket controller based on peoples responses. If someone should be reading this in the future, you will definitley want to get the "Integrated Brake Controller" RPO JL1 which is included with Max Trailering (NHT).
I test drove an SLE, I noticed it had 2 spots to hook trailer lights up to. One was the 4 pin and the other was the 7 pin. Will my truck come with that? Or is that an option which I've missed?
Mine will come with both, since it will have Z82 trailering equipment.
I think that about covers everything, I will add more if I think of anything. Please also leave a comment if you think I should add something which I did not mention. You may prevent me from wishing I ordered it 4 months down the road. Hoping to order this week after getting the final numbers on financing thru my bank.
Thanks!!

Leather Split Bench Seat - Do these come heated? Heated and cooled seats are an option. 650.00 in 2014.

Tie-Down Rings - Bed Mounted - so these are like those "D" rings or whatever that I can hook a ratchet strap to, right? I will be putting an ATV/Sled back there occasionally. Yes.

Hard Tri-Folding Tonneau Cover - maybe? Should I go aftermarket on this instead? I want a hard cover that is easy to remove for when I am hauling a ATV or Sled

License Plate Holder - I guess this is an option? I do want one, lol. Yes, but it may be a free option.

Order the integrated brake controller instead. It cannot be duplicated aftermarket. It includes integration with the factory sway control.

Welcome!

The plate holder is for a front license plate and it automatically comes on trucks for states that require a front plate. Michigan isn't one of those thankfully but if you want it for a logo plate or whatever the additional cost will be minimal, if anything.

I'm just trying to figure out the difference between the "Integrated Trailer Brake" that comes with the Max Trailering package vs the one that is an option when building a truc on GMC's website. I attached a photo of the name and description.

Ok this is good to know I will have heated seats. I'm willing to give up cooled seats as I really want the bench.

I haven't seen it in person yet, however I have looked at several pictures of it online. It looks alright, not something that I would want though. It's definitley something different you know?

I would think you should be able to order 2016 model within the next month or so. Might be worth the wait to see what's new. Of course little incentives for 2016 model year.

My dad had mentioned that to me... that is something to consider... is there an official release date for 2016 information?

That is simply an aftermarket brake controller, and a cheap one at that. Order the integrated brake controller, a 230.00 option. Or order Max trailering, which I think you already plan to do.

In the past gm has released ordering info mid to late April.
