Right now since the last couple of days one of the TPMS sensors are reading a lot lower than the other 3. I of course checked the tire pressures both yesterday and today and that 1 tire is right with the other tires like it should be so the sensor is reading wrong. I tried putting it in learn mode and nothing happens (maybe it only actually relearns after the sensors are reset after new tires or rotation). I also disconnected the battery to reset them and after a few minutes they all came up and the one sensor was still reading low. Could I have no had the battery disconnected long enough? I ask because usually the dash screen is reset to default but this time it didn't. I had it disconnected for about 2-3 minutes. I'm just hoping it's not a bad sensor already because the last couple of days it was about 5 psi off and this morning it was about 10 psi off. Again I did check the actual tire pressure with my gauge and it was right with the other tires. Is there a way to reset just the 1 sensor or will I have to see if the dealership can do the whole relearn mode thing?

I have not experienced this, but in reading other stuff on here I think the only way to relearn the sensors is with a device (relearn tool?). The old "learn" method doesn't work on 2014+ trucks.

It looks to me that the one sensor is not working properly. You could try letting a little air out and then filling it again to see if the dash reading follows. If it does follow and still not consistent with your manual gauge reading like the other sensors are, then most likely the sensor is bad.

I know they're sometimes off by a couple psi but they've always read equal. But the past couple days that one sensor was 5 psi too low and this morning it was 10 psi off while the other 3 are reading right. So until the past couple of days after 10,500 miles they at least were consistent.

Luckily I now work at the dealership I got the truck from which is also in my town so tomorrow I'll see if they can do the relearn with the tool ( I know the tool is needed to actually relearn the sensor, I was just hoping doing the relearn process on the dash that it might fix it) and if it doesn't work they'll just have to put a new one in and thankfully it's still under warranty.

I would say that front sensor is faulty and have the dealer replace it

Usually when my TPMS doesn't work, there is no reading at all. Your reading is low but there is a reading. That specific valve stem may need to be tightened or replaced.

I don't think it's the valve stem because as I said I checked the tire pressures all around and that one tire's psi is right with the other 3.

So if you rotate your tires yourself do you have to bring the truck in to reset the TPMS.

That or buy your own reset tool.

I had them look at it and they couldn't find anything wrong. One of them did say that sometimes with big weather temp changes it can make the sensor read wrong just like how big temp changes can change the actual psi. When I cranked it up to come home for lunch, which I'm on now, it did read a couple psi under the rest so I think it's fine now. I was about to tell them to try the relearn process but I guess now it's fixed.
