Gas milage

I have a 2015 Silverado 4x4 with the 5.3 and I am getting about 13 mpg city. Is there something wrong with my truck or is this normal?

I get 16-17 on average. What gears you have in the rear, 3.08's?

Mine is 16.2 since day I bought it, that's with the 6.2l. Yours does seem a little low.

I think I have the 3:42. I got it in winter and its been like this about the whole time. I thought it was just the cold but its warming up and still low.

Mine was 14-15 during winter now it's up 16-17. With 3.42's you should be getting better city mileage

I think "city" needs to be defined better. I have 15 6.2 and I am getting almost 20mpg with hwy and some city, but if I fill up/reset the dic and drive in the city it will be 13-14 mpg esp in stop and go. Meaning real city driving (stop light every block or so and short trips)

 

Throw in some hwy and it jumps up real quick

They do get better as they break in.

Its stop and go. I put a 2' level on it but I still feel like that's low. Would the dealer be able to do anything?

Mine also has a 2" level and getting the above posted mileages. Maybe they have an update for the transmission?

13 mpg in constant stop and go sounds about right.

Depends on how heavy your foot is and how long u let it idle in parking lots and the driveway before u leave. If I want to get an accurate read on mine I reset it when I start driving and check it when I get to my destination. I get about 14 city if I don't reset it, and around 15.5 when I do. I also put Nitto LT 275's on.

Throw in a lift, a little remote start, and 13 mpg is about right. Just wait till you start running E85 lol.

I have a 2015 Denali 4x4 6.2L and get 13-14 in city with the stop and go traffic.
