2016 Changes (Headlights, tail lights, and bumper?)

Yes, but I'm comparing to a tune with v4 on and tune with v4 off. stock I got about 13l/100km on the highway with a tune and v4 it was about 11.5 and now with afm disabled I get about 10.5.

I am still not sure why you guys all want more speeds in the transmission? If you are on flat ground it may be good but any small hills of any kind and the transmission will be continuously searching for gears.

I was fine with four speeds and 4:10 gears. I do not buy a truck looking for 30 miles per gallon. The six speed is ok with an extra overdrive but 8 or 10 speed?!?!

Just more problems to have in my opinion.

Why not a variable speed like in Mazda cars, no gears at all lol.

I wish the truck got 30 miles to the gallon. Sure, I bought it knowing that it wouldn't, but I certainly wouldn't complain if it did.

, I just put the new 2016 sierra 1500 headlights and taillights on my 16 Denali HD. They look sweet. If anyone is interested in how to wire them to make all the options work just shoot me an email [email protected]. I'll post pics soon but it was pretty simple. Every thing fits like factory but you do have to wire the new headlight harness to get them to work. The taillights are plug and play.

Actually, I have a 2016 Silverado, A 2012 Nissan Altima and a 2012 Mazda 3.

 

Silverado = 6 Speed Automatic

Mazda 3 = 5 Speed Automatic

Nissan Altima = CVT Variable Automatic

 

Most Mazdas have standard, geared automatics.

Pretty much EVERY Nissan has a CVT Transmission, because of owning this Nissan for 5 years with a CVT, I will NEVER!! purchase another vehicle with a CVT again.

 

CVTs sound like a OLD GM TH350 with a valve body stuck between 2 gears, not hate talking, just the RPMs kinda hang there making a light moaning sound, very disheartening.

Most modern 5, 6, 8 speed automatics shift points are hard to notice unless your looking for it, I have someone at work that loves CVTs, he says he dislikes the shifting from gear to gear "jerking your head every time it shifts", I know my Silverado and Mazda are almost seamless in their shifting, again only if you look for it.

 

Before you wish for a CVT transmission, live with one for 5 years, you'll hate it.
