Wow!! Could I ask what state you live in? I have to admit the little ones are cute, I'm just not sure I want them roaming around my yard.

I live in beautiful British Columbia.

Last year I stepped out the door and looked mama-bear straight in the eyes.

Ever since I always remote start my truck. That scares them away...usually :).

Wow that's crazy. And is that a river at the edge of your back yard? Very cool!

It looks like water but no, it's just sand. :)

Last year in the Spring from the kitchen window.

Late summer. The cubs are a little bigger now and mama-bear's keeping an eye on me.

And one of the two cubs from last year, 3 days ago.

I got married in Lake Tahoe and during the reception people were talking about bears outside sometime around 8pm. So being the slightly inebriated self, I and several others went down to check it out. 2 cubs were running around in the parking garage with a worker in his truck honking the horn to chase them out of there. As they ran out and down the hill side, I looked down the hill side and there was momma about 50 feet away, just sitting and waiting and watching. We were close enough to her to hear her do some huff sound and turn and follow her babies down the hill. Really cool experience. Glad I didn't get mauled on my wedding day.

You get to see them often up there, that's pretty damn cool.
