Power Folding Mirrors

Recommended Posts

Just picked up my 15 2500 HD All Terrain SLE, AWESOME truck.... Question I upgraded to the power folding/heated mirrors, they work wonderful with the switch on the door but not with the remote. I looked in the infotainment and there is not even a option to turn "folding mirrors on/off with remote" there. Is this something that is only available on certain models??? Please check yours...

Thanks

You have to enable it in settings then hold the lock button on the key fob for 4 seconds then they will fold. I'm pretty sure from the factory it's enabled, just hold the lock button on the fob first. Think it's under vehicle convenience in settings.

Its not listed there, it only shows "Settings, Vehicle, Comfort and Convenience, Chime Volume(only thing listed)"

There is no "auto mirror folding" option, this is what I am asking is this a programming thing or not a option on my SLE

Either under "Vehicle" or "Comfort and Convenience", there should be an option that reads "Auto Mirror Folding". At least that's how it is on my Silverado.

It's really deceptive though, because that would imply that they fold automatically when parking, when in reality you still have to turn that on and hold the lock button for 4 seconds.

This may not apply, but my '15 HD Denali does both remote mirror folding and windows. As Green stated, hold lock button on remote down for 4 seconds, and mirrors fold, then all windows raise (sequential, so you do not have to raise windows). Similarly, holding unlock button for 4 seconds folds mirrors out, then lowers windows. I have not checked the menus, but mine worked like this from the factory.

I thought it was well established that remote window up does not exist on the gm trucks. Are you saying that your windows go up when you hold the lock button? If so, when did you get your 2015?

My bad - my statement was correct, EXCEPT the part about windows up. Until you called me out, I would have sworn it would work, but I just confirmed it doesn't.

Mirrors in and out, windows down (and up I think) all work via remote on my All Terrain built in February 2015. The manual tells you how to do mirrors in and windows down, I believe it's under the section on operating the remote. The mirrors out is something I discovered by accident, only did it once and don't know exactly how it happened..... I'll play with it some more and try to get it nailed down if someone else doesn't beat me to it.

Question regarding the orange LED lights on these mirrors, I have them on my 1500 NHT. They appear to be simply aesthetic at night and do not act as a signal light, is it the same on the 2500/3500s?

Yup, they're running lights and don't seem to function as blinkers.

When I put them on my 2015.5 Denali 1500, I wired them as turn signals, but they won't do both without a mod that is posted here.

My 2015 Silverado works like this as well. Except for the "up" part, of course.

I bought my 2015 Silverado LT in November and it has remote window up/down ...
