Silverado upgrade

We just traded from a '99 Silverado LT (fully loaded) to a 2008 LT2. My wife was disappointed that the new truck had less features

than the old one. Soooo, I have added:

  • splash guards
  • running boards
  • cold air intake
  • dual exhaust with Magnaflow muffler
  • new Ruff Tuff seat covers (to refresh the sad looking cloth seats)

Now it looks better, is much more comfortable and runs better too.

Welllllllll, the truck was running good- for a while anyway! After towing our mower on a small trailer to and from camp, CEL came on. Two days later truck would not start. I did all sorts of troubleshooting in the

driveway- got the codes and found lean fuel mix. Listened to the fuel pump and it sounded okay, but no fuel pressure on the fuel rail. Got it towed to the shop and waited..........

Oh-oh this is going to co$$$t me. The shop replaced the fuel pump, the fuel pump control module and then towed it to the dealer to re-flash the ECM and Control Module. When the pump quits- it just quits!!

After coughing up >$1300 I got the truck back, good news is that it runs better than before! The wife and I were going through Z71 withdrawals pretty bad.
