Can y'all tell me by picture if this truck is a short wheel base? I cant lookup up rpo codes cause the truck is a four in one of a kind with parts from different trucks. And the sticker in glovebox is not from the original cab/chassis

The box itself looks to be a 6.5' shorty to me.

 

You can measure both the bed and wheelbase to verify.

 

A long bed will be 8' long, while the shorty will be 6.5'.

If you can see the truck in person, look at the frame just behind the cab. If it was a long box to start there'll be a cut and weld there to make it a short box. It is a short box now, but the gap between the bed and cab is tight and makes me think it was cut down into a short box or he moved the bed forward to tighten the gap (which will cause it's own issues if you intend to off road the truck). Also if the cut is a straight line going up and has no plates welded on for strength, stay away from it or weld in some fish plates, because it won't last…

Yes its a short bed and also the bolts that hold the bed down are not tightened thus noving around as stated by Daly. And do I measure from middle of front wheel to middle of rear wheel or how?

Looks like a short bed. ^ and what he said. Some people decide they want a short bed and cut a long bed frame to make it fit a short bed.
