Good All-Around Vehicle Wash?

Recommended Posts

Posted

I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations on a reasonably good, all-around vehicle wash that I can find easily (and relatively inexpensively) from maybe the Blue store or the Red one. Dawn does a fantastic job, but that's because it takes off all the wax, too! lol

My wife and I both have Tungsten vehicles (that's Iridium for the GMC fans), and well water which is a touch to the hard side. I'm looking for something that will do a decent job and leave it in a nice state afterward. I will be moving on to the use of a clay bar and Zaino products later this summer, so something that might be decent ahead of those treatments as well would be preferable.

Luster? Thoughts on this one? :)

Some of the better car washes easily available are: Meguair's gold class, Zymol auto wash, Turtle wax ICE wash, Surf city car wash and I am hearing good things about the new barret Jackson wash. Medguiars is probably my favorite and available at wal-mart and advance auto.

I've been using meguiars the purple stuff I've used tutrle wax ice etc. Check out the vid's on adam's polishes you tube channel also checkout Junkman on youtube he has an awesome series on washing your vehicle. I did so much damage to my truck washing it like a fool! I really like what I've got from adam's polishes, pads, towels & polishes so I'm thinking I may give their car wash a shot, I realllllllllllly want a foam gun!

This is what I have been eye balling.

I do not want to have to drag out the pressure washer everytime I wash a vehicle. I have plenty of compressed air and it is just a hose. My pressure washer is gas. I have a foam gun now that hooks to a regular hose but I want to step it up a notch.

I like chemical guys products although their customer service is lousy so they might loose my business. I do like the citrus wash and gloss for prior to a wax job when I want to strip the last coat off. I use the Honeydew for every other time. I like both of them.
