Thanks

You're welcome. If you get on the TRS Facebook page and scroll down through their pictures they have a couple pics of it. It looks really good.

just saw this so I'm late to the party, but I ordered the XB fogs along with the 5500k HID headlight kit and installed them a couple weeks ago. I feel they are much brighter than stock (duh, wouldn't take much more than a candle) and they do have a very good cut off pattern since they are a housing designed for the LED's that are in them. I think the fogs are a bit on the blue side. I feel they're a tad more blue than even my 5500k HID's. Super happy with the whole upgrade though. Way better than the stock lighting package. I'm pretty happy with the stock projector with the HID's too. Decent cut off. I wouldn't mind upgrading the projectors but don't feel like doing major surgery on my headlights.

I too have the Morimoto 5500k HID kit but paired mine to my DOT approved Rigid LED fogs.... There is some trimming involved but with the gains you receive.... Far out weighs the effort. Fogs are a little more blue though.... Only part I dislike. Light on the road is 100% better.

Any close up shots of the fogs installed? Do they fit snug around the housing or are they prone to move out of placement?

Edit: Just saw this picture on their FB page. Seems like they would move out of place.

I just installed these to compliment my 5500k fxr retro, these lights will not move. The ring around the light in the picture above is not a support, it's just there for looks. Also the back side of these lights is metal instead of plastic. In my opinion a very high quality product, I was actually really surprised. Buy em, you won't be disappointed. Just don't expect light output like hid.

I actually have the TRS 5500k kit as well. Just looking to get some functionality from the fogs since the stock ones are pretty much useless now. Do you notice a visible improvement in light output with the fogs on vs off? Thanks for the input I think I'll pick up a set as well.

If you're already running the fxr retro you won't notice much difference but they do help ditch lighting a little. There is a definite light output improvement over the stock or stock with led bulb. I just wish they were a tad brighter.

I have not used them in inclement weather but I think they will probably work really good for their intended purpose.

What exactly do you have to do to the connector to make these work? I'm a little confused over that. When I installed my HID kit I switched the polarity in the resistor to make it work. Doesn't seem like you can do that with the fogs though.

I just plugged the connector in backwards, it seemed pretty tight but I put a little electrical tape around it anyway. Zip tied the extra cable behind the light. Worked out well.

I haven't had any issue plugging the connector in backwards and coming out. Tight fit and I didn't even put electrical tape on anything. I will zip-tie the wires up though, the snow pack during winter may pull on them a little.

Great thanks guys I will try this out. I saw on another forum someone cut the wires and then soldered them back with the wires switched. Was hoping to avoid doing that.

I just installed mine this morning. I didn't do any research before heading out, it took me 15 minutes to do both.

I've got a front lift so I slid under the front bumper with a trusty flashlight, scoped out how the fog light housings were held in, unplugged them, pinched the round retainers and popped them out the front bumper.

No need to remove the wheel well liners. No tools needed.

After you remove the oem fog light housing, pull the round black retainer clips off and unscrew the only screw on there, then pull the white clip that screw was in. Those 4 pieces are what you need to put on the new housings.

This process was easier than what I figured changing the oem bulbs would be, so if you can change a bulb, you can install these plug and play.

I did test them before popping them in permentanly, I did have to turn the plug around to make them work.
