Hello everyone,

I just Picked up 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT 4x4. I wasn't even considering a Chevy but i guess it was fate. I was on my way to pick up a Ram 1500 4x4 100 miles away from home but the freeway was completely shut down that direction and there was no way to get there. I turned around and saw the Chevy/GMC dealer with a big truck sale sign so I figured what the heck! I might as well look at them. After test driving one and looking at the options available I couldn't resist! I was really impressed with the truck. There were only two things that bothered me. The way the transmission felt lost finding gear changes (the sales staff told me its a new truck with 5 miles and it needed to learn how I drove and would smooth out over time) and something not really noticeable but the fact that this is a 2015 truck and it still has leaf springs. Obviously not a deal breaker for me and I still don't know why it bothered/bothers me lol. I feel that I got a smoking deal and it was much less expensive then the Ram I was going to buy. I must say that I am not impressed with the Dublin Chevrolet service or staff and I hope that changes soon.

Its a basic LT model - 2015 Crew cab, 6.6 bed, Silver Ice Metallic, non Bose, All Star edition. Nothing really special compared to other LT truck package wise, but the dealer had installed perforated black leather seats which is really nice!

I have already made a few accessory purchases. (I can never leave my automobiles alone) :D

I will be using this on job sites and commuting so the The first order was front and rear weathertech digitalfit floor mats.

I am drummer and I need my gear to stay safe and away from the elements the second order was a Leer 100XR cap with a bunch goodies & a Bedrug.

The third on the list was getting that front end up so ordered a set of Bilstein 5100 adjustable fronts shocks with matching rear shocks. I might take off the front lower spoiler. :dunno:

I am pretty sure I will either upgrade the stereo with the Kicker VSS soundstage sub or doing the JLaudio stealthbox around xmas.

This looks like a very nice forum and I hope to learn a lot from the site!

Looks just like my Texas edition except mines not 4x4. If you're gonna carry your instruments in the bed I suggest using weatherstripping on by the tailgate. And I've had my truck two months and still seems to be learning. The shifts are terrible. It's like it was meant to be driven slowly. I look forward to a tune but I don't wanna void the warranty yet so I'll wait.

Thank you everyone! So I am not "crazy " thinking there is something up with the shifting? Thanks for the suggestion mois93da! Once the truck cap is installed I will pay carful attention to where the window meets the tailgate and add weather stripping as suggested

There will actually be gaps where you close the tailgate on the sides and the bottom. It's an eye sore for me cause I can see it from the rear view mirror. Unless they fixed that, which I will look into once I buy my cover.
