So after researching and researching I think I am going to drive my current 2008 Silverado through winter and then early next year buy a sierra denali 1500 with 6.2. This will allow me to save more money for my down payment. I am thinking that due to all the 1500 denali being sold by that time I will be looking at slightly used to due to my finances. Im I correct in thinking that 15 will be all sold my april may of 2016?

The Denali seems to be the fastest moving model from what I have heard and read. Dealers barely keep them in stock as it is, I highly doubt there will be any 2015 Denalis left on lots in 5-6 months. They will have better incentives than the 2016s and get eaten up I am sure.

You might get lucky and find a leftover, but it will be highly unlikely. If you want a brand new '15 you better move now or just get a '16 or lightly used model.

My guess is the only dealers who will have them next year are those who wont budge on the price. We get those kind of dealers in the bay area. My Nissan dealer once had a 6 year new car on the lot, would not take 1 dollar off the price. My Ford dealer marks everything over MSRP by a few thousand for "Market Price". Dealers who want to move them will do so long before April of 2016.

Sounds like a good plan. Let the 2008 take another winter. Save up for rustproofing, too.

 

Actually, December is a great time to buy. Especially between Christmas and New Years.

I was pondering the same question as you about a week ago. I finally said screw it and I bought a 2015 four days ago. I figured the price was going to change much in six months so I went ahead and got it now.
