SunShade Rattle Plus Getting Scraped When Sliding Open

Hey guys.

 

Anyone with Sunroofs experiencing a rattle in the headliner, whether the sunshade is open or closed?

 

Secondly, when I slide my sun shade open, after about 50% of the way something in the headliner starts scraping the bottom of the sunshade. I can actually see about a 1inch wide by 6 inch long scrape pattern on my sunshade from this.

 

I'm thinking probably just take it to the dealer.

 

I also have some squeak sound that seems to be coming from either

-passenger door

-passenger side dashboard

-passenger side A-pillar

It seems the squeak just keeps circling around lol am struggling to pinpoint it.

Many squeaks and rattles on these vehicles are caused by metal clips on the trim pieces that are not fully seated. Sometime a smack with the palm of your hand is all that it takes to fix it. The hard thing is to find the source.

 

As for the sunroof, it is most likely not aligned properly. Take it to the dealer and make GM fix it properly.

Just wanted to give an update, went to the dealer for an oil change and had them look into the rattles. I was actually able to pinpoint the squeak which was coming fron the passenger side sun visor if you can believe that.

 

Dealer fixed that and also dropped the headliner to fix the rattle i was getting. Service report said the light wiring harness was loose so they took care of that.

 

Truck is quiet on the inside again. Its kinda weird lol.
