Everytime i run my cooled seats it blows hot air through the back vents of the front seats. Is this normal? I cant run them when someone sits jn the back because it heats up their legs really bad.

Just wondering because my raptor blew fresh air and never noticed any hot air being blown out, maybe they routed it out through somewhere else, makes more sense than the chevys design of blowing it to the passengers sitting in the back

Can't have cold without compression and compression byproduct is heat.

Yes you can have cold without compression. The cooled seats use TEC elements, which work on the Peltier effect. No compression, just voltage that pulls heat in one direction across the P/N junction. And as the OP found out, the heat is expelled out the back, and rather noisily too.

Now, why GM thought it was a good idea to dump that heat right to the rear passengers at almost face level is beyond me.

No kidding.. And to add to that, they didn't put any AC vents back there for whatever reason..

The greatest thing for me being born ignorant is I learn something new everyday

They may work on the Peltier effect, but when assembled they all work on Pedro effect.

those are intake ports on the back side of the front seats. They do no exhaust air.

is mine backwards then?
